Building Department:
Per the Micanopy Land Development Code, the Zoning Compliance Verification provides information to support an application for a building permit. Building permits are governed by Florida Statute and the Florida Building Code. The
Building Division of Alachua County, by interlocal agreement, is responsible for compliance with the requirements of the Florida Building Code within the corporate limits of the Town of Micanopy, however, a condition precedent to the
issuance of a building permit by Alachua County is a Zoning Compliance Verification issued by the Town Clerk. The fee charged for a Zoning Compliance Verification shall be as established by Resolution of the Town Commission. The Zoning
Compliance Verification is NOT a building permit. DO NOT commence construction from a Zoning Compliance Verification.
